Colonial Penn is a series of several ads which showcase potential customers alongside spokesperson, Jonathan Lawson.
I edited this from the previsualization stage to the actual edit. I was on-set during filming where I would live-edit in order to ensure that all the dialogue ran exactly to the scripted time. I was likewise responsible for ensuring that we got all the material needed for the various cutdowns.
Honestly, this was a refreshing way to work, as it familiarized me with the material quickly and allowed me to correct any on-set omissions which would have negatively affected the edit. I developed an intimate knowledge of the script and was able to collaborate with the director to get exactly what we needed.
At the end of each shooting day, the director was able to watch a fully edited cut of each spot.
For successive cuts, I used AI audio technology and custom LUTs in order to provide viewing material for a client that for all intents and purposes felt like a finished spot.
